Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

  • Young Professional-II: M.Sc. in Agricultural Biotechnology / Biotechnology / Plant Biotechnology / Plant Molecular Biology from a recognized university.
  • Age Limit: Between 21 to 45 years as on 1 June 2026.
  • Age Relaxation: Applicable as per ICAR rules.
  • Desirable Experience: Experience in tissue culture, plant genome editing, or transgenics.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

  • Selection will be based on a written test cum interview.
  • Assessment will consider academic performance, additional relevant qualifications, research/technology incubation experience, and performance in the interview.
  • No TA/DA will be paid for attending the written test or interview.
  • The Appointing Authority reserves the right to cancel or postpone the interview without assigning any reason.
  • Candidates are requested to be present 60 minutes before the reporting time (i.e., by 09:00 AM on 19 November 2026).

Required Documents & Instructions for Candidates

  • Submit a full bio-data application addressed to the Director, ICAR Central Tuber Crops Research Institute, Thiruvananthapuram.
  • Attach duly-attested photocopies of certificates and mark sheets from SSLC onwards.
  • Attach relevant experience certificates, publications, and additional qualifications.
  • Affix a recent passport-size photograph on the application.
  • Produce all original documents prior to the written test.
  • Obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the current employer if employed elsewhere.
  • Report to the venue by 09:00 AM on 19 November 2026.
