Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualifications

DisciplineMinimum Qualification Required
Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, E&T, Industrial EnggBE/B.Tech/B.Sc (Engg) in the relevant branch with a minimum of 60% marks.
SystemRecognized 1st Class Degree in BE/B.Tech/B.Sc (Engg) in Computer Science / IT OR any 1st Class Degree with MCA.
GeologyM.Sc. / M.Tech. in Geology / Applied Geology / Geophysics / Applied Geophysics with minimum 60% marks.
Rajbhasha (Hindi)MA in Hindi with minimum 60% marks, AND Graduation with Hindi and English as main subjects with 50% marks.
Company SecretaryGraduate in any discipline + Company Secretary qualification with Associate/Fellow membership of ICSI. (Preference given to those who have worked in a listed Company).
  • Candidates must possess the requisite qualifications. The minimum qualifying marks for UR/OBC/EWS is 60% (55% for SC/ST/PwBD). Note: 59.99% will NOT be treated as eligible; exact 60% or above is required.

Age Limit, Salary & Service Bond

Age Limit (As on 30.04.2026)Upper Age Limit is 30 Years for UR & EWS.Relaxations: OBC-NCL (3 Yrs), SC/ST (5 Yrs), PwBD (10-15 Yrs). No age bar for internal CIL employees.
Salary / Pay ScaleE-1 Grade (₹60,000 – 1,80,000/-). Starting Basic Pay is ₹60,000/- per month. Plus DA, HRA, PRP, CMPF, CMPS, and comprehensive medical facilities.
Service Agreement BondSelected candidates must serve the company for a minimum of 60 months. A bond of ₹3 Lakhs will be executed. ₹5000/month will be deducted towards bond money (refunded without interest after 60 months).
