- Short Information: Jharkhand CHO Recruitment 2026 The Jharkhand Rural Health Mission Society (JRHMS) has begun the online application process for 1,038 vacancies for the post of Community Health Officer (CHO) under the National Health Mission, Jharkhand. Eligible candidates who have interest can apply from October 31 to November 22, 2026.
- The recruitment has been made for filling up the backlog vacancies for various categories on contractual basis. The selected candidates for the post of Community Health Officer will be paid a fixed salary of ₹25,000 per month plus performance based incentive amounting up to ₹15,000 per month, as notified.

- Educational qualification
- Candidates must have a B.Sc. (Nursing) or Post Basic B.Sc. (Nursing) degree that includes the integrated curriculum of the certificate programme in Community Health (CPCH). The degree must be from a recognised nursing college that offers this integrated curriculum, and the candidate must have passed in or after the academic year 2016-2020.
Age limit Jharkhand CHO Recruitment 2026
- Age will be counted as on November 22, 2026. The limits follow Circular No. 03 dated January 2, 2026, of the Government of Jharkhand.
- A 10th pass certificate, marksheet or any other government-approved document showing the date of birth will be accepted as age proof.
Salary and Contract Terms
- The initial contract is for one year and may be renewed subject to satisfactory performance and requirement.
- Candidates cannot claim absorption into a regular post in future.
- Either side can end the agreement with one month’s advance notice.
- Remuneration is Rs 25,000 per month, plus a performance-based incentive of up to Rs 15,000 per month under the relevant guidelines.
- Reservation rules issued by the Department of Personnel, Administrative Reforms and Rajbhasha, Government of Jharkhand, will apply.
