  • Note: This is a contractual position on an externally sponsored project. The engagement is for a total duration of 1 year and 8 months (initially 6 months, likely to be extended based on performance and availability of funds). It is not a permanent government cadre position.

Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

  • Essential Qualification: Post Graduate Degree (including integrated PG degrees) in Psychology or Public Health; M.Sc. Epidemiology; or Master of Public Health (MPH)
  • Upper Age Limit: 35 years as on 20 October 2026 (last date of receipt of applications)
  • Other Conditions: Valid email ID and mobile number are compulsory. Applications with CV alone, without the prescribed form and supporting certificates, will be rejected.
  • Desirable Qualifications:MBBS / MDS / PhD / PG Degree in Clinical ResearchCourse Certification in Computer ApplicationsPast experience of handling Funded Extramural / Intramural Research Projects

Selection Process & Screening Clause

  • The selection for Project Research Scientist I (Non-Medical) at JIPMER will be conducted in the following stages:
  • Shortlisting: Applications, CV, and documentary evidence will be reviewed to shortlist eligible candidates. Display of eligible candidates on the JIPMER website will be done on 20 October 2026.
  • Written Test (21 October 2026): The written test will cover Research Methodology, Educational Research Methods, Competency-Based Medical Education (CBME), Clinical Reasoning and Assessment Tools, Basic Biostatistics, Ethics in Research, and Data Interpretation.
  • Interview & Skill Test (21 October 2026): Shortlisted candidates will appear for an in-person interview and skill test covering Research Methodology, CBME and Assessment Strategies, Script Concordance Test Development and Validation, Psychometric Analysis, Qualitative Research, Implementation Research Frameworks, Ethical Conduct, Project Management, and Publication.
  • No Travel Allowance (TA) or Dearness Allowance (DA) will be paid for attending the interview or written test.
