• The ONGC Foundation has invited applications for the ONGC Merit Scholarship 2026-27, offering financial assistance to 2,000 deserving students pursuing higher education in India. Eligible students from SC, ST, OBC and General-EWS categories can receive Rs. 48,000 per year to support their studies.

ONGC Scholarship Eligibility Criteria 2026-27

• Students applying for the ONGC Merit Scholarship must meet the academic qualification, age and annual family income requirements.

Educational Qualification

• Students applying for Engineering or MBBS scholarships must have secured at least 60% marks in Class 12. Those pursuing MBA, Geology or Geophysics must have obtained at least 60% marks in graduation.
• Applicants assessed through a grading system must have a minimum CGPA or OGPA of 6.0 on a 10-point scale.

Age Limit

• Applicants must not be older than 30 years as of 1 August 2026.

ONGC Scholarship 2026-27 Selection Process

• The ONGC Merit Scholarship does not require applicants to appear for a separate written examination or interview. Eligible candidates will be considered based on academic merit and applicable financial criteria.
• Preference is given to students belonging to Below Poverty Line (BPL) families. If two applicants have the same academic marks, the student with the lower family income will receive preference.
• Meeting the minimum eligibility requirements does not guarantee selection because the total number of scholarships is limited.
