Age Limit

  • Minimum Age: 21 years

Educational Qualification

  • Second-Class Bachelor’s Degree in Arts, Science, or Commerce from a recognized university.
  • Must have studied the concerned subject in all years/semesters.
  • B.Ed (General) from an NCTE-recognized institute is mandatory. (Special Education B.Ed not valid for this post).
  • Final year students are not eligible.

APPSC TGT Salary 2026

  • Selected candidates will receive a salary in Pay Matrix Level-7 with a basic pay scale of ₹44,900 to ₹1,42,400 per month. In addition to the basic pay, employees are entitled to Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and other admissible benefits under Group-B (Non-Gazetted) cadre.

APPSC TGT Selection Process 2026

  • The selection process involves two stages:
  • Written Examination (Objective): Consists of General Paper (150 marks) and Concerned Subject Paper (300 marks). Total 450 marks. Negative marking of 1/6th applicable.
  • Viva-Voce & Classroom Teaching: 50 marks. Candidates shortlisted in 1:3 ratio will appear for this stage.
  • Final merit is based on total marks out of 500.
