Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

  • Municipal Council Member: As per category guidelines in the official notification.
  • APMC Member: As per category guidelines in the official notification.
  • Consumer Organisation Member: Representative of registered consumer protection group.
  • School/College Member: From notified educational institution as per norms.
  • Medical Professional Member: Registered medical practitioner as per category norms.
  • Trade and Industry Member: From recognised trade/industrial body.
  • Petrol and Gas Distributor Member: Authorised distributor under relevant licensing authority.
  • Farmer Representative Member: Registered agriculturist as per agricultural guidelines.
  • General Condition: Must satisfy specific category criteria as per the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

  • Screening and scrutiny of applications by the District Level Committee headed by the District Collector.
  • Selection based on fulfilment of eligibility criteria and prescribed norms.
  • Issuance of Appointment Order by the District Collector.
  • Exclusions: Persons convicted of misconduct, those who have misappropriated public property, persons associated with banned organisations, and members of political, communal, proprietary or profit-making bodies are ineligible.
  • Note: TA/DA is not paid for any stage of this selection process.

Required Documents & Instructions for Candidates

  • Attested copies of original documents relevant to category & experience.
  • Current year police character certificate.
  • Prescribed application in Appendix A format.
  • Submission to the local Tahsildar office within 30 days of advertisement.
  • Complete application must reach by 29 November 2026. Incomplete applications will be summarily rejected.
