Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

  • Basic Qualification (Both Posts):
  • 12th (+2 stage) or equivalent with at least 50% aggregate marks (50% condition not applicable to SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/PwBD or higher qualified); OR
  • Matriculation and Course Completed Act Apprenticeship; OR
  • Matriculation and ITI approved by NCVT/SCVT.
  • Essential Professional Qualification:
  • Theatre Actor (Male): Degree/Diploma/Certificate in Acting/Drama Arts from a Government-recognised University/Institution.
  • Harmonium Player: Degree/Diploma/Certificate in Harmonium from a Government-recognised University/Institution.
  • Desirable Experience (Preference): 3 years experience in Acting/Script Writing/Direction or Harmonium playing with Doordarshan, All India Radio, or reputed TV/Theatre/Musical groups; State/National level awards and festival participation certificates.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

  • Written Examination (CBT/Tab Mode): 50 marks (50 objective questions on General Awareness, Mathematics, Mental Ability, and Cultural Discipline; 60 minutes duration). 40% marks required to qualify. Negative marking of 1/3 per wrong answer.
  • Document Verification: Verification of original certificates for shortlisted candidates.
  • Practical Demonstration: Talent test (35 marks) and Testimonials/Certificates/Awards verification (15 marks).
  • No TA/DA will be paid to candidates for appearing in the written test or practical demonstration. Candidates must make their own travel and accommodation arrangements.

Required Documents & Instructions for Candidates

  • Original Matriculation (10th) Certificate / Birth Certificate as Proof of Date of Birth.
  • All Degree and Consolidated Mark Sheets (12th/Matriculation + Professional Qualification).
  • Professional Qualification Certificate (Degree/Diploma/Certificate in Acting/Drama Arts or Harmonium).
  • Institution Recognition Certificate from Central/State Government body.
  • Valid Category / Caste Certificate in Central Government prescribed format (Annexure 'C' or 'D' issued on or after 01/04/2026 if applicable).
  • Colour Passport-size Photograph (3.5 cm x 3.5 cm) and Valid Photo ID Proof (Aadhaar / Voter ID / PAN).
  • Experience Certificates/Awards/Certificates of Participation in state/national level competitions (if applicable for desirable qualifications).
  • Self-attested photocopies of all original documents and own cultural kit (for practical demonstration).
  • Instructions: Mobile phones, calculators, and Bluetooth devices are banned in the exam hall. Candidates working in Govt./PSUs must produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) during practical demonstration.
