Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

• Experience Requirement: The applicant must possess adequate experience in one or more of the following public utility services:
• Transport service for the carriage of passengers or goods by air, road, or water
• Postal, telegraph, or telephone service
• Supply of power, light, or water to the public by any establishment
• System of public conservancy or sanitation
• Service in a hospital or dispensary
• Insurance service
• Banking service
• Education or educational institutions
• Housing and real estate services
• Character Requirement: The candidate must not have been convicted in any criminal case. No criminal case should be pending against the candidate.
• Age Consideration: The engagement runs for 5 years or until the member attains 65 years of age, whichever is earlier. Suitable senior professionals with substantial experience in the above sectors are preferred.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

• Screening of Applications: The appointing authority will screen all applications received on or before the last date. Candidates meeting the prescribed eligibility criteria and possessing adequate experience in public utility services will be assessed for suitability.
• No Written Test or Interview Mandated: The official notification does not prescribe a written examination or a formal interview. Selection is at the discretion of the appointing authority based on merit, relevant experience, and overall suitability for the Permanent Lok Adalat.
• No TA/DA: No travel or daily allowance will be paid to candidates for any stage of the application or selection process.

Required Documents & Instructions for Candidates

• Fill the application in the prescribed format provided in the official notification.
• Affix one recent passport-size photograph on the application format.
• Enclose two self-addressed stamped envelopes (Rs. 55/- each) for return communication.
• Attach copies of relevant educational qualification documents.
• Attach copies of experience / work profile certificates from the public utility service(s).
• Include a valid government-issued photo ID proof (Aadhaar / Voter ID / PAN).
• Send the complete application via Speed Post or Courier to: Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Civil Court, Seraikela, Jharkhand The application must reach on or before 22 October 2026 by 5:00 PM. Postage delay will not be accepted as a reason for late receipt.
