Post-Wise Vacancy & Pay Scale

• OPSC has advertised 758 Group A posts of Assistant Executive Engineer under the Odisha Engineering Service for the 2026-27 cycle. Of the 750 Civil vacancies, 612 are backlog vacancies of earlier years and 138 are current vacancies of 2025, which is why the total is unusually large.

Essential Qualification

• AEE (Civil): A Degree in Civil Engineering from a Government-recognised university or institution, or Associate Membership of the Institution of Engineers (India) in Civil Engineering, and a valid GATE score in Civil Engineering.

Salary, Probation & Service Terms

• Pay: Level-12 Cell-1 of the pay matrix under ORSP Rules, 2017 — entry basic pay of Rs. 67,700 per month, with dearness allowance and other allowances as sanctioned by the Government of Odisha.
• Probation: Two years from the date of joining.
• Pension: Appointees are covered by the National Pension System (NPS) under the Odisha Civil Services (Pension) Amendment Rules, 2005. Submission of the NPS application at joining is mandatory.
• Selected candidates undergo a Medical Board examination before appointment.
