Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

  • Educational Qualification:Passed 12th or its equivalent with not less than 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized board. (50% marks not insisted for SC/ST/ESM/PwBD or candidates with higher qualification).OR Passed 10th plus ITI/National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) approved by NCVT for Technician Grade-III.
  • Cultural Qualification:Degree/Diploma/Certificate in the respective discipline (Classical Dance or Drama) from a Government recognized university/institute.
  • Desirable Qualification: Experience in the field and performances on AIR/Doordarshan, awards at national level.
  • Age Limit: 18 to 30 years as on 01/01/2027 for UR & EWS. Relaxation for OBC (3 years), SC/ST (5 years), and other categories as per rules.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

  • The selection process involves the following stages:
  • Stage-I: Written Test (50 Marks) - Objective type questions covering General Knowledge, Science, Mathematics, English/Hindi, Professional Knowledge, etc. Minimum qualifying marks: 40%.
  • Stage-II: Assessment of Talent (50 Marks) - Practical demonstration (35 marks) and testimonials/prizes (15 marks). Minimum qualifying marks: 40%.
  • Medical Examination - Candidates recommended after Stage-II will undergo medical examination at Railway Hospital.
  • Note: No TA/DA will be paid for attending the examination or interview.

Required Documents & Instructions for Candidates

  • Original Matriculation (10th) Certificate / Birth Certificate as Proof of Date of Birth
  • 12th Pass Certificate or 10th + ITI/NAC Certificate
  • Degree/Diploma/Certificate in Cultural Discipline
  • Category/Caste Certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS) if applicable, in Central Government format
  • Two recent passport-size photographs and Valid Photo ID Proof (Aadhaar / Voter ID / PAN)
  • Scanned copies of Photograph, Signature, and Left Thumb Impression (LTI) as per application requirements
  • Experience Certificates if applicable
  • Disability Certificate if applicable
