Essential Qualification and Experience

• M.A. in Psychology with at least 55% marks or equivalent GPA from a recognized university.
• M.Phil in Clinical Psychology / M.Phil in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy / M.Phil in Psychotherapy and Clinical Thinking, or post-master's training, degree or diploma with specialization in psychotherapy, clinical practice or counselling.
• At least two years of experience in clinical practice / psychotherapeutic work and/or counselling in the field of mental health at public or private institutions, universities, hospitals, clinics or NGOs.
• Internships completed as part of an academic programme are not counted as valid work experience.
• Candidates must hold all essential qualifications as on the closing date of application.

Desirable Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology / PsyD (Doctor of Psychology) / Ph.D. with demonstrable interest in psychodynamic and psychoanalytical work.
• Experience in teaching and supervising trainee counsellors, psychotherapists or clinical psychologists.
• Evidence of research or publications in psychotherapy or clinical practice.
• Well-developed sensitivity, empathy, regard and in-depth understanding of the human psyche.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

• Shortlisting: Meeting minimum qualifications does not guarantee an interview call. The university may shortlist candidates based on qualifications/experience above the minimum, or other criteria it decides.
• Interview: Only shortlisted candidates are invited for interview. Interview dates will be notified on the university website and emailed to shortlisted candidates.
• Document Verification: All appointments are provisional until certificates are verified. Documents and antecedents may be checked at the interview, at joining, or at any time during service.
• Note: No TA/DA will be paid to candidates attending the interview.

Required Documents & Instructions for Candidates

• Printout of the submitted online application form.
• Self-attested Mark-sheets of all educational qualifications claimed in the online form.
• Evidence of professional qualification showing nature and duration of post-master's degree, diploma or training.
• Experience certificates of clinical practice showing period (from–to) and nature of work.
• No Objection Certificate (NOC) on prescribed proforma if employed in Government or PSU (if not uploaded with online application).
• Arrange documents behind the application with an index and page numbers, in the order of essential eligibility criteria.
• Write the position name and advertisement number (AUD/55-1(151)/Rect./2026/1029) on top of the envelope.
• Send via Registered/Speed Post to: Deputy Registrar (Recruitment & Promotion Cell), Room No. 31A, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University Delhi, Lothian Road, Kashmere Gate Campus, Delhi – 110 006, to arrive by 17:30 hrs on the last date.
• Hard copies arriving late will be rejected; the university is not responsible for postal delays.
• Canvassing in any form leads to disqualification. Incomplete applications or those not meeting qualifications will be rejected.
