Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

• For Dean, College of Horticulture: Essential Qualification: Doctorate Degree (Ph.D.) in the subject concerned or relevant basic science. Experience: 15 years of teaching (UG/PG) / research / extension experience in a substantial capacity. Out of these, at least 5 years must be in the rank of a Professor or equivalent in a reputed educational institution/organization.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

• The selection process for the post of Dean, College of Horticulture will be conducted as follows:
• Screening of Applications: Applications will be scrutinized based on eligibility criteria.
• Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. The University reserves the right to shortlist candidates for the interview based on higher qualifications and experience.
• Note: No TA/DA will be paid to candidates for attending the interview.

• Candidates applying offline must attach self-attested copies of the following documents with their application:
• Duly filled Application Form (downloaded from www.uuhf.ac.in).
• Doctorate Degree (Ph.D.) Certificate and all relevant educational mark sheets.
• Detailed Experience Certificates for 15 years, specifically highlighting 5 years as Professor or equivalent.
• Proof of Date of Birth (Matriculation Certificate).
• Category Certificate (if applicable for fee concession).
• Two recent passport-size photographs.
• Valid Photo ID Proof (Aadhaar, Voter ID, PAN, etc.).
• Application Fee payment proof (Demand Draft in favor of "VCSG Uttarakhand University of Horticulture & Forestry" payable at Srinagar, Uttarakhand).
• Submission Instructions: The completed application form, along with all enclosures and the application fee, must be sent via Speed Post or Registered Post to the address mentioned in the official notification. The application must reach on or before 19th October 2026. Candidates are advised to keep a photocopy of the submitted application for their records.

• The application fee is Rs. 1200/- for General/UR category candidates and Rs. 600/- for SC/ST category candidates.

4. What is the salary for the Dean, College of Horticulture position?

• The salary is as per Pay Matrix Level-14, ranging from Rs. 1,44,200 to Rs. 2,18,200 per month.
