Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

• Applicants must meet the following essential requirements for the position of Director, Institute of Science:
• Educational Qualification: Ph.D. degree in Science / Applied Science, preferably in Biotechnology, from a reputed University or Institution of national/international repute.
• Academic Record: Outstanding academic record throughout.
• Experience: At least Ten (10) years of experience as Professor or equivalent in Universities, Institutions of National Importance, Research Organizations, or reputed Institutions of Higher Education.
• Preferences:
• Leadership experience in premier institutions such as IITs, IISERs, IISc, Central Universities, National Laboratories.
• Capability in institution building and strategic planning.
• Experience in attracting externally funded research projects and establishing research ecosystems.
• Experience in accreditation, ranking, internationalization, and industry engagement.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

• The selection will be based on the following process:
• Screening / Shortlisting: Eligibility verification or identification through the University's search process.
• Interaction / Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for interaction or interview.
• Clause: Mere fulfilment of eligibility criteria does not entitle a candidate to be called for interaction or interview. The University reserves the right to identify and invite outstanding candidates independently through a search process. The decision of the University in all matters relating to selection shall be final and binding. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interaction/interview.
