Post-Wise Vacancy & Pay Scale

• Selected candidates will receive basic pay, Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA) at 35% of basic pay where corporation accommodation is unavailable, Site Allowance (LBA) at 10% of basic pay + DA, EPF contribution, and NEEDCSS (NEEPCO Defined Contribution Superannuation Pension Scheme) contribution at 9% of basic pay + DA. Additional benefits include Performance Related Pay (PRP), gratuity, medical benefits for self and dependents, leave, uniform allowance, communication expenses, and furniture reimbursement as per company rules. Upon successful completion of the 1-year training period, trainees are placed in E-3 Grade.

Educational Qualification

• Option 1: Full-time Diploma in Industrial Safety with a minimum of 65% marks (55% for SC candidates) and a Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Production) from a recognized institute.
• Option 2: Degree in Engineering (Industrial Safety / Fire and Safety) with a minimum of 65% marks (55% for SC candidates) from a recognized institute.

Age Limit (as on 01-07-2026)

• Unreserved (UR): 30 Years
• SC: 35 Years
• OBC (NCL): 33 Years
• Age Relaxation: Admissible as per Government of India guidelines for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/ESM/PwBD categories. Candidates domiciled in Jammu & Kashmir (born between 01.01.1980 and 31.12.1989) are also eligible for relaxation as per Government of India guidelines.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

• The selection process involves three sequential stages:
• Scrutiny of Online Applications: Shortlisting is based on marks obtained in the engineering degree and the industrial safety diploma/degree, along with relevant post-qualification experience.
• Computer Based Test (CBT):Section 1 – Professional Knowledge Test (SKT): 75 marks on Industrial Safety / Fire & SafetySection 2 – Executive Aptitude Test (EAT): 25 marks covering numerical ability, reading comprehension, reasoning, general awareness, and data interpretationTotal: 100 objective-type questions of 1 mark eachNegative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each incorrect answerDuration: 2 hours
• Personal Interview: Candidates shortlisted from the CBT are called for a personal interview.
• No TA/DA is payable for appearing in the Computer Based Test or Interview.

2. What is the application fee for NEEPCO Executive Trainee recruitment?

• General, EWS, and OBC-NCL candidates must pay Rs. 560/- through SBI e-Pay. SC candidates, Ex-Servicemen, and all female candidates are exempted from the application fee. However, SC, ST, and PwBD candidates applying against unreserved posts are required to pay the fee.

3. What is the salary and pay scale for NEEPCO Executive Trainee (Safety)?

• The IDA pay scale during the training period is Rs. 50,000 – 3% – 1,60,000/-. The minimum monthly CTC is approximately Rs. 1,00,000/- including basic pay, DA, HRA, Site Allowance, EPF, and NEEDCSS contributions. Upon completion of the 1-year training, candidates are placed in E-3 Grade.

5. What is the selection process for NEEPCO Executive Trainee (Safety)?

• The selection consists of: (1) Scrutiny of online applications based on academic marks and experience, (2) Computer Based Test with two sections — Professional Knowledge (75 marks) and Executive Aptitude (25 marks) with negative marking of 0.25 per wrong answer, and (3) Personal Interview. Total CBT duration is 2 hours with 100 objective-type questions.

6. What educational qualification is required for NEEPCO Executive Trainee (Safety)?

• Candidates must have either: (a) a full-time Diploma in Industrial Safety (min. 65% marks) plus an Engineering degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Production, or (b) a B.E./B.Tech degree in Industrial Safety/Fire and Safety (min. 65% marks) from a recognized institute. Minimum 1 year of post-qualification experience in statutory safety compliance is desirable.
