Post-Wise Vacancy & Pay Scale

• The pay is applicable on deputation basis as per the 7th Central Pay Commission Level-11 scale. Applicable deputation allowances, as admissible under Government of India rules, shall be granted in addition to the pay of the parent cadre.

Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

• The post of Executive Engineer (Public Health) is fillable by deputation (including short term contract). The following eligibility conditions apply:
• Parent Service: Officers under Central Government, State Governments, Union Territory Administrations, Public Sector Undertakings, recognized Universities, recognized Research Institutions, Semi-Government Bodies, Autonomous Bodies, or Statutory Organizations.
• Rank Requirement (Either):Holding analogous posts on a regular basis in the parent cadre or department; ORWith five years of service rendered after regular appointment in posts in Pay Band-3 (Rs. 15,600-39,100) with Grade Pay of Rs. 6,600 or equivalent in the parent cadre or department.
• Essential Qualification: Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University / Institute.
• Essential Experience: Ten years of experience in Civil Engineering in the Government Sector.
• Desirable Qualification: Master Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University / Institute.
• AMIE Eligibility: Candidates holding a Degree of Associate Member of Engineers (AMIE) in Civil Engineering from a recognized University / Institute, who were enrolled for AMIE up to 31 May 2013, are also eligible for consideration under deputation / ISTC.
• Age Limit: Maximum age shall not exceed 56 years as on 24 November 2026 (closing date of receipt of applications).
• Deputationists not eligible for promotion; departmental officers in the feeder category in direct line of promotion are not eligible for deputation or absorption.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

• The selection for the post of Executive Engineer (Public Health) will be carried out through the following process:
• Scrutiny of Applications: All applications received through proper channel will be screened for completeness and eligibility against the prescribed criteria.
• Document Verification: Submitted ACRs/APARs, vigilance clearance certificates, qualification certificates, and experience proof will be verified by the department.
• Assessment by Selection Committee: A selection committee will assess the curriculum vitae, service records, and supporting documents to evaluate suitability. The final selection will be made by the committee.
• The selection is made for a period of one year, which shall ordinarily not exceed four years. No separate written examination or interview date has been notified at this stage; candidates will be informed through their parent departments. No TA/DA will be paid to candidates for the application process.

• Photocopies of ACRs / APARs for the last five years, duly attested by an officer not below the rank of Under Secretary or equivalent.
• Certificate from employer / cadre controlling authority (Annexure-II) certifying particulars, integrity, vigilance clearance, and verification that no major or minor penalty has been imposed during the last 10 years (or enclosing a list of penalties).
• Supporting certificates and documents in support of qualification and experience claimed.
• Applications must reach on or before 24 November 2026 (45 days from the next date of publication in Employment News, i.e., from 11 October 2026).

5. What is the salary structure for the Executive Engineer (Public Health) post?

• The post carries a pay at Level-11 as per the 7th Central Pay Commission, in the range of Rs. 67,700 to Rs. 2,08,700 per month. Deputation allowances as admissible under Government of India rules shall be granted in addition to the pay of the parent cadre.

6. Can freshers or non-government officers apply for this vacancy?

• No. Only serving officers of Central/State Governments, UT Administrations, PSUs, recognized Universities, Semi-Government Bodies, Autonomous Bodies, or Statutory Organizations holding analogous posts (or the minimum prescribed grade with five years service) are eligible.
