Candidates with SSC/10th (Science) with 55% and an ITI certificate can apply on cftri.res.in from 19/10/2026 to 18/11/2026. Eligibility
- SSC/10th with Science subjects, minimum 55% marks.
- ITI certificate in the relevant trade (or National/State Apprenticeship certificate as per the advertisement).
Age Limit
- Maximum 28 years as on 18/11/2026. SC/ST +5, OBC +3, PwBD +10, CSIR employees and others as per rules.

Salary
- Pay Level 2 (₹19,900–63,200). Gross is about ₹37,260 per month at Mysuru, including DA, HRA and TA.

- City classes (HRA): X = Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Greater Mumbai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Pune. Y and Z cities are as listed by the Department of Expenditure (OM 21.07.2015). HRA is not paid if you live in government quarters.
- DA: 63% of basic pay, the central rate from 1 Jul 2026.
- TA: The X column uses the higher rate for listed big cities. Y and Z use the rate for other places; some Y cities (e.g. Jaipur, Lucknow, Patna) get the higher rate.
- Medical: No CGHS deduction is shown. This employer is an autonomous body, defence-funded, Railways, Delhi Govt or a force with its own medical scheme. Check your appointment terms.

Exam Pattern
- Only candidates who qualify the trade test take the written exam. Papers II and III are evaluated only for those who clear the Paper I threshold, and the final merit list is based on Papers II and III.
