Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

• Educational Qualification: M.Sc. in Chemistry or allied branches from a recognized University/Institute with a minimum of 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale, along with a valid GATE/NET qualification.
• Relaxed Qualification for SC/ST/PwD: A minimum of 55% marks or 6.0 CGPA on a 10-point scale, with valid GATE/NET.
• Upper Age Limit: 28 years as on the date of the interview.
• Age Relaxation: Up to 5 years for SC, ST, OBC, Woman, and Physically Handicapped candidates.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

• The selection will be made purely on the basis of a walk-in interview scheduled on 27 October 2026 at 11:30 AM at the IIEST Shibpur campus, Department of Chemistry.
• Shortlisting of candidates may be carried out before the interview if the number of eligible applicants is large.
• Original documents will be verified at the time of joining.
• The selection stands cancelled if any discrepancy is detected during physical document verification.
• No TA/DA will be paid to candidates for appearing in the walk-in interview.
