Post-Wise Vacancy & Stipend Details

• Note: Continuance of stipend payment is subject to the work and conduct of the apprentice being satisfactory. This is an apprenticeship training program under the Apprentices Act, 1961, and does not confer permanent government employment status.

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 24 years as on 31 May 2026
• Age Relaxation: Applicable for SC / ST / OBC / Persons with Disability / Ex-servicemen as per Government of India rules.

Eligibility Restrictions

• Candidates with one year or more of job experience or training after obtaining the qualifying degree are not eligible.
• Persons who have earlier undergone apprenticeship training are not eligible unless approved by the Apprentice Advisor of BOAT.

Selection Process & Screening Criteria

• Application Scrutiny & Shortlisting: MeECL will scrutinize all eligible applications received on or before the last date and shortlist candidates based on merit, NATS enrollment validity, and stream-specific vacancies.
• Original Certificate Verification: Shortlisted candidates must appear in person for verification of original documents at their own cost. No TA/DA will be paid for certificate verification.
• Physical Fitness Verification: Selected candidates must produce a physical fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner at their own cost.
• Execution of Apprenticeship Contract: Candidates who clear all screening stages must execute a formal contract of apprenticeship under the Apprentices Act, 1961.
• No written examination has been prescribed in the notification. Selection is based purely on application scrutiny and shortlisting. The final decision of MeECL in the matter of selection will be binding.

Required Documents & Instructions for Candidates

• EPIC (Voter ID) or Passport copy (self-attested)
• Consolidated or Final Mark Sheet of the essential qualifying degree
• University / College Conversion Certificate (for grades / CGPA to percentage conversion, if applicable)
• 10th Standard Certificate or Birth Certificate as proof of Date of Birth
• Two (2) recent passport-size photographs
• Valid NATS Enrollment ID printout
• Caste Certificate in Central Government prescribed format (for SC / ST / OBC, if applicable)
• Certificate of Physical Challenge / Disability Certificate (if applicable)
• Signed Undertaking Form (Format A from the notification PDF)

Key Instructions

• The application must be filled in capital letters without using initials.
• Candidates must have an active email ID, mobile number, and EPIC card.
• Incomplete applications, forms not in the prescribed format, unsigned applications, or applications without required enclosures will be summarily rejected.
• Selected candidates must arrange their own transport, accommodation, and food during the apprenticeship training period.
• No TA/DA will be paid for appearing at any stage of the selection process.
