- Nagaland Police has advertised 1,137 Constable (General Duty) vacancies: 1,053 in the current recruitment (848 male, 205 female) and 84 male backlog posts. Only members of the Indigenous Inhabitant Tribes of Nagaland can apply, from one eligible district. Category-wise Vacancies
- Regular vacancies are split district-wise by the approved tribal ratio (e.g. Dimapur/Chumoukedima/Niuland 129, Kohima 74, Kiphire 45, Tseminyu 38, Longleng 30). A candidate can apply from only one eligible district.
Eligibility
- Must belong to an Indigenous Inhabitant Tribe of Nagaland (indigenous inhabitant and tribe certificates needed).
- Notified Backward Tribes: Class 6 pass. Other Naga tribes: Class 8 pass or higher.
- Male and female candidates can apply; apply from one eligible district only.
Age Limit
- As on 14/10/2026: 18 to 37 years. Government employees get relaxation equal to qualifying service, up to 5 years.

Physical Standards & PET
- Physical and medical screening is qualifying. PET carries up to 45 marks in the merit.
Salary
- Pay Level 3 (pre-revised Pay Band ₹5,200–20,200 with Grade Pay ₹1,800) as per Nagaland Government rules. Probation 2 years; initial posting in India Reserve (IR) battalions.
