Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

  • Qualification Required: The candidate must have passed the Class 4th standard examination.
  • Nationality: Must be a citizen of India.
  • Age Limit: Candidates must be between 18 years and 40 years of age as of 06 October 2026.
  • Local Residency Requirement: The applicant must be a local resident of the villages included in the specific Saja (Village Cluster) for which they are applying. Proof of residency must be submitted at the time of application.
  • Physical Fitness: Candidates must be physically fit to perform the duties of a Revenue Servant (Kotwal).
  • Criminal Record: The applicant must not have any criminal case registered against them, nor have been convicted by any court.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

  • The selection process consists of two stages:
  • Written Examination (15 November 2026): Candidates will appear for an objective-type multiple choice written test comprising 50 questions for 100 marks, covering General Knowledge. A minimum of 40 marks is required to qualify.
  • Document Verification (17 November 2026 to 27 November 2026): Candidates who qualify in the written examination will undergo document verification at the designated venue.
  • Important: No traveling allowance or other expenses will be provided for attending the written examination or document verification. Entry to the examination hall will not be permitted without a valid admit card.

  • Class 4th Standard Passing Certificate
  • Village Residency Certificate for the specific Saja (Village Cluster) being applied for
  • Valid Caste Certificate and Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) Certificate (if applicable, valid up to 31/03/2027)
  • Domicile Certificate
  • Small Family Declaration Certificate (as per Maharashtra Civil Services rules)
  • Character Certificate from the Police Station of the applicant's area
  • Rs. 100/- Stamp Paper Affidavit regarding no political party affiliation
  • Scanned Passport-size Photograph and Signature
  • Key Instructions:
  • Applications must be submitted exclusively through the online portal — offline applications will not be accepted.
  • Admit cards must be downloaded between 04 November 2026 and 11 November 2026.
  • The position of Revenue Servant (Kotwal) is a temporary, non-classified post — it does not confer permanent government employment or pension benefits.
  • Field work is mandatory and requires physical fitness.
  • Providing false information or exerting pressure on the selection committee will result in disqualification and termination of service.
