Eligibility Criteria & Appointment Conditions

  • The post of Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs is to be filled on Composite Method (Promotion plus Deputation). The detailed eligibility conditions are as follows:

Selection Process

  • The selection will be made on the basis of Screening of Applications followed by Shortlisting of eligible candidates.
  • A Screening Committee may constitute to consider applications if received in large numbers.
  • Selected candidates may be required to appear for an interview / interaction before the Selection Committee.
  • Final selection will be subject to verification of documents, cadre clearance, vigilance clearance, and integrity certificate from the parent cadre/Department.
  • No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview or document verification.

Application Process & Instructions for Candidates

  • Applications must be submitted offline through proper channel (via the parent cadre/Department).
  • Candidates employed in Central/State Government must ensure their applications are forwarded by the competent authority with NOC, cadre clearance, and vigilance clearance.
  • The application must clearly state the regular Pay Band/Pay Matrix Level and Grade Pay of the current post held — personal ACP/MACR increments must not be quoted.
  • Attach all relevant experience certificates, particularly evidence of 15 years' experience including 5 years in Parliamentary/Legislative functions.
  • The application should be addressed to the competent authority at the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, Samvidhan Sadan, New Delhi – 110001.
