Post-Wise Vacancy & Pay Scale

• Note: Deputy Registrar (1 UR post) is on Deputation, initially for one year, with possibility of absorption subject to administrative requirements. Pay structure as per 7th CPC with applicable Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, and other allowances.

Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

• Only candidates of Indian nationality are eligible to apply. Age limits are determined as on the closing date of advertisement.

Age Relaxation

• SC / ST / OBC (Central List) / PwBD / Ex-servicemen: Upper age relaxable as per Govt of India orders.
• Regular Service Employees: Relaxable up to a maximum of 5 years or the number of years of service, whichever is less, provided at least 3 years' regular service in Central Govt / State Govt / Central Universities / UGC-maintained deemed universities / other Central-State autonomous bodies.
• Permanent Internal Employees: Upper age relaxed up to Pay Level 9, provided requisite qualification and experience are acquired.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

• The selection for TISS Non-Teaching positions will be based on the following process:
• Shortlisting / Written Test: Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria will be shortlisted. A written test may be conducted if the number of eligible applicants exceeds the screening threshold prescribed by the institute.
• Interview / Personal Interaction: Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview or personal interaction as scheduled by TISS. The institute reserves the right to determine the selection methodology based on the number of applicants.
• Document Verification: Candidates qualifying the interview will undergo thorough verification of original documents and experience certificates at the time of the written test / interview.
• Contract Duration (Deputy Registrar on Deputation): The Deputy Registrar post on Deputation is initially for one year, with possibility of absorption subject to administrative requirements and availability of the post.
• No TA/DA: No TA/DA shall be paid to candidates for attending the interview.
• Canvassing: Canvassing in any form or bringing political or other influence will result in disqualification.
• Jurisdiction: Legal disputes shall be restricted to the High Court, Mumbai.

Required Documents & Instructions for Candidates

• Original Matriculation (10th) Certificate / Birth Certificate as Proof of Date of Birth
• All Degree and Consolidated Mark Sheets (Relevant Qualifications including NET/SLET/SET or Ph.D. Certificate where applicable)
• Experience Certificates on Official Letterhead (Post-specific experience as per advertisement)
• Valid Category / Caste Certificate in Central Government prescribed format (if applicable) — OBC/EWS candidates must upload certificate issued for the current financial year by Competent Authority
• Two recent passport-size photographs & Valid Photo ID Proof (Aadhaar / Voter ID / PAN)
• Scanned copies of all certificates, marksheets, photograph, and signature as per size limits specified in the application portal
• Vigilance Clearance Certificate and No Objection Certificate from current employer (if currently in Central Govt / State Govt / PSU / University service)
• Printout of the submitted online application form and email acknowledgement for future reference

What is the salary structure for TISS Non-Teaching posts?

• TISS Non-Teaching posts are governed by 7th CPC pay levels. Level-7 (Section Officer posts): Rs. 44,900 – Rs. 1,42,400/month basic; Level-10 (most mid-level posts): Rs. 56,100 – Rs. 1,77,500/month basic; Level-12 (Deputy Registrar, Deputy Librarian): Rs. 78,800 – Rs. 2,09,200/month basic. Additional Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, and other allowances are applicable as per Government rules.
