The registration process will begin on 2nd November 2026 and will end on 23rd November.
• The recruitment will be conducted by Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB). The notification was released on 30th October 2026 (Advt. No. BCECEB/Health(SR)/2026(III)/01). Doctors with post graduation in respective speciality can apply. Candidates need to fill the application form available on the official portal of the Board. • The registration deadline (10:00 PM) is earlier than the payment and submission deadline (11:59 PM) on the same day. Don’t leave the final steps for the last evening.

Age Limit BCECEB Senior Resident/Tutor Recruitment 2026

• No minimum age is specified. Members of the Bihar State Health Service cadre get an additional 5 years’ relaxation. Candidates with disabilities can get up to 10 years’ relaxation, but only one relaxation provision can be claimed at a time. Selection and Service Terms

• Candidates will be shortlisted through a merit-based panel, followed by counselling and document verification. The notice states the following:
• The post is a three-year tenure appointment.
• Appointees get Pay Level-9. Doctors already in the Health Service cadre continue with their existing pay, along with dearness allowance and other admissible allowances.
• A doctor who has completed a three-year Senior Resident/Tutor tenure in a subject cannot be appointed again in that subject.
• A candidate with PG degrees in more than one subject must submit a separate application for each department.
• Candidates whose degree recognition is not confirmed by the NMC will not be considered.
• No travel allowance will be paid for counselling.
• The department’s decision on posting is final.
• PG/diploma students bound by a three-year bond can apply if their controlling officer recommends them and they get a departmental No Objection Certificate. They will be treated as serving their Senior Resident/Tutor tenure within the bond period.
• Reservation: The panel will follow the Bihar government’s reservation policy. The benefit goes only to Bihar domiciles who submit a valid non-creamy layer certificate. Without one, a candidate is treated as Unreserved. Women, disabled candidates and grandchildren of freedom fighters get reservation as per General Administration Department rules.

• Visit bceceboard.bihar.gov.in and open “Online Portal of Senior Resident/Tutor under Health Dept.”
• Click “Apply for Senior Resident/Tutor”, then “New Registration”. Use your own or a parent’s mobile number and email. These cannot be changed after verification.
• Log in with your registration number and password. Select the department, then fill in personal, contact and educational details.
• Upload a high-contrast colour photograph and your signature as per the portal’s instructions.
• Review the preview, fix errors using “Back to Edit”, then click “Final Submit & Proceed to Payment”.
• Pay the fee, then download the confirmation page and fee receipt.
• You don’t need to post a hard copy to the Board. Keep the printout and bring it to counselling.
