Post-Wise Vacancy & Pay Scale

Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

• Classical Dance (Bharatanatyam, Kathakali, Kathak, Manipuri, Odissi, Kuchipudi): Passed 12th or its equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized Education Board. (50% mark not required for SC/ST/ESM & PwBD candidates and candidates having higher qualification from UGC recognized university). OR Passed 10th from recognized Board plus ITI/National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) approved by NCVT for Technician Grade-III in Level-2 of Pay Matrix of 7th CPC. (Diploma in Engineering is not considered as an alternative higher qualification). Cultural qualification in the applied discipline is mandatory.
• Instrumental Music (Flute, Violin, Veena, Sitar, Sarod): Degree/Diploma/Certificate course in respective discipline only from a Government recognized University/Institute. Cultural qualification in the applied discipline is mandatory.
• Persons appointed to the category of Clerk-cum-Typist should acquire Typing proficiency of 30 w.p.m. in English or 25 w.p.m. in Hindi within two years from the date of appointment.
• Preference will be given to candidates having experience in the applied discipline and performance on All India Radio/Doordarshan, and those who have won awards/prizes at National Level.
• It is mandatory for an empaneled candidate to be declared fit in the prescribed medical category by Railway Medical Authority.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

• The recruitment process consists of the following stages:
• Stage I: Written Test / OMR / CBT (50 Marks) Objective type questions with negative marking (1/3rd marks deducted for each wrong answer). Duration: 60 minutes. Candidates must choose either English or Hindi as the language for the written test.
• Stage II: Assessment of Talent in Applied Discipline (50 Marks) Only candidates who qualify Stage I will be called for Stage II in the ratio of 1:5 of notified vacancies as per merit order. Practical Demonstration in applied discipline: 35 marks. Testimonials/Prizes etc. in the applied discipline: 15 marks.
• Total Marks: Stage-I + Stage-II = 100 marks.
• No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the examination.

Required Documents & Instructions for Candidates

• Candidates must upload the following scanned documents as per the prescribed annexures:
• Scanned copy of photograph, signature, and LTI.
• Self-attested certificate in proof of date of birth.
• Educational/technical qualification certificates.
• Caste certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EBC/EWS) in Central Government prescribed format.
• Income certificate (if applicable).
• Self-declarations pertaining to OBC candidates and minority community candidates.
• Disability certificate (if applicable).
• Two recent passport-size photographs & Valid Photo ID Proof (Aadhaar / Voter ID / PAN) to be carried at the time of document verification.
