  • HRA is payable as per University Rules. The fellowship duration is co-terminus with the DBT project or availability of funds.

Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

  • Junior Research Fellow (JRF): M.Sc. in any branch of Plant Sciences with NET qualification.
  • Desirable: Experience in the field of Biotechnology / Molecular Biology / Plant Pathology.
  • Project Name: "Characterization of Chickpea Germplasm Resource to Accelerate Genomics Assisted Crop Improvement" (GOI-5049-57), funded under DBT.
  • The fellowship is contractual and co-terminus with the project duration or availability of funds.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

  • Selection will be made through a work-specific interaction (not a formal written examination).
  • The work-specific interaction will be held on 22 October 2026 at 11:00 AM in the office of the Head, Department of Agricultural Biotechnology, COA, CSKHPKV, Palampur, Himachal Pradesh.
  • Only shortlisted candidates who submitted valid offline applications on or before 19 October 2026, up to 05:00 PM will be considered for the interaction.
  • No separate communication regarding shortlisting or selection shall be made by the university.
  • No TA/DA will be paid to candidates attending the work-specific interaction.

  • Prepare the application on plain paper as per the details specified in the official notification.
  • Obtain a bank draft for the processing fee: Rs. 450 (General) / Rs. 110 (Reserved Categories), drawn in favour of the Comptroller, CSKHPKV, Palampur.
  • Attach all required qualification, experience, and category documents with the completed application.
  • Submit or send the application so that it reaches the office of The Head, Department of Agricultural Biotechnology, COA, CSKHPKV, Palampur, H.P. latest by 19 October 2026, up to 05:00 PM.

  • Experience Certificates on Official Letterhead in Biotechnology / Molecular Biology / Plant Pathology (if applicable)
  • Valid Category / Caste Certificate in prescribed format (if applying under reserved category)
  • Two recent passport-size photographs & Valid Photo ID Proof (Aadhaar / Voter ID / PAN)
  • Applications must be submitted on plain paper along with bank draft for the processing fee
  • Application must reach the office by 19 October 2026 up to 05:00 PM – no extensions will be granted
