Post-Wise Vacancy & Pay Scale

Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

• Medical Officer: MBBS degree with minimum 5 years of experience after internship. Additional qualification in Medicine/Surgery is preferred.
• Dental Officer: BDS degree with minimum 5 years of work experience.
• Nursing Assistant (General): G.N.M. Diploma OR Class-I Nursing Assistants Course (Armed Forces) with minimum 5 years of experience.
• Pharmacist: (i) B. Pharmacy from a recognized institute OR 10+2 with Science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) from a recognized Board, AND (ii) Approved Diploma in Pharmacy from an institute recognised by the Pharmacy Council of India and registered as Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act 1948. Minimum 3 years of experience required.
• Lab Technician: B.Sc. (Medical Lab Technology) with minimum 3 years of experience as Lab Assistant in a Medical Lab, OR 10+2 with Science and Diploma in Medical Lab Technology from a recognised institution with minimum 3 years of experience as Medical Lab Assistant.
• Dental Assistant: Diploma holder in Dental Hygiene / Class-I DH / DORA Course (Armed Forces). Minimum 5 years of experience.
• Clerk: Graduate / Class-I Clerical Trade (Armed Forces) with minimum 5 years of experience.
• Chowkidar: Class 8th pass OR GD Trade for Armed Forces Personnel.
• Female Attendant: Literate with minimum 5 years of experience in Civil/Army Health institutions.
• Safaiwala: Literate with minimum 5 years of work experience.
• Age Limit: Maximum 65 years as per the official notification. Only candidates meeting all qualitative requirements and post-wise experience criteria may apply.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

• Selection is based on direct interview. The following process applies:
• Application Scrutiny: Applications received by 20 November 2026 will be screened for eligibility, educational qualifications, and experience.
• Interview Call: Shortlisted candidates will be informed of the exact interview date in the third week of December 2026 via Phone, SMS, or Email.
• Interview: In-person candidates must report physically to ECHS Cell, Station Headquarters, Leh. Out-station candidates have the option of appearing via video call.
• Document Verification: All original certificates, mark sheets, degrees, diplomas, experience documents, and passport-size photographs must be produced at the time of interview.
• Terms of Engagement: Ex-Servicemen are engaged on a contractual basis for one year, and civilian staff for 11 months. The contract is renewable for an additional one year / 11 months, or until the candidate attains the maximum age of 65 years, subject to satisfactory performance and other conditions.
• Important Note: No Traveling Allowance / Dearness Allowance (TA/DA) will be paid for attending the interview. Misrepresentation of facts renders the appointment liable to immediate termination, without prejudice to any other action.

• All Degree, Diploma, and Consolidated Mark Sheets for relevant qualifications
• Work Experience Certificates on Official Letterhead (as per post-wise requirement of 3–5 years)
• Mandatory Affidavit/Undertaking regarding DoESW/DGR resettlement status
• Self-attested photocopies of all supporting testimonials
• Valid Category / Caste Certificate in Central Government prescribed format (if applicable)
• Two recent passport-size colour photographs
• Valid Government Photo ID Proof (Aadhaar / Voter ID / PAN)
