  • The vacancy is funded under the project titled "Mainstreaming rice landraces diversity in varietal development through genome-wide association studies: A model for large scale utilization of gene bank collections of rice" at RARS, Maruteru.

Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

  • Senior Research Fellow (SRF): M.Sc. (Ag) in Entomology / Plant Pathology / Plant Breeding / Agril. Biotechnology with an ASRB NET certificate is required.
  • Desirable Qualification: Research experience in the relevant field.
  • Age Limit: Candidates must be below 35 years (Men) and below 40 years (Women) as applicable.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

  • Candidates will be selected through a walk-in interview held on 13 October 2026.
  • Eligible candidates must directly attend the interview at RARS, Maruteru with all original certificates, a duplicate copy, and the required supporting documents.
  • No TA/DA will be paid to attend the interview.
  • The post is purely on a temporary basis for a duration of 11 months or until the completion of the project, whichever is earlier.
  • Employed candidates must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of the interview.
  • The decision of the selection committee is final and binding in all aspects.
