  • The remuneration is paid at a rate of Rs 1,500 per lecture delivered, subject to a maximum monthly ceiling of Rs 50,000.

Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must fulfil either Option A or Option B below:

Selection Process & Screening Clause

  • Short-listing for interview on the basis of Academic Score as specified in Appendix II, Table 3A (for Universities) and Appendix II, Table 3B (for Colleges) of UGC norms.
  • Interview — final selection based only on performance in the interview. The academic score is used exclusively for short-listing.
  • Document verification at the venue on the day of interview.
  • Note: No TA/DA will be paid to candidates for attending the interview.

Required Documents & Instructions for Candidates

  • Duly filled prescribed application form — Download Assam University Guest Faculty Application Form PDF
  • Self-attested copies of all supporting documents (degree certificates, consolidated mark sheets, NET/SLET/SET or Ph.D. certificate, publication records where applicable)
  • Self-attested copy of a valid photo ID proof (Aadhaar / Voter ID / PAN)
  • Two recent passport-size photographs
  • Caste / Category certificate in prescribed format (if claiming reservation)
  • Original documents for verification at the time of interview
  • Submit the filled application form along with self-attested copies of all supporting documents on 20 November 2026 at the reporting time of 11:00 AM.
