Selection of Candidates

• 📝 Candidates must appear for Tier-I at one of the five chosen examination centers.
• 🔢 Tier-I Cut-off: UR/EWS – 30, OBC – 28, SC/ST – 25 (Ex-Servicemen treated in their category).
• 📊 Tier-II shortlisting: 10 times the vacancies based on Tier-I performance (normalized marks).
• ✅ Tier-III shortlisting: 5 times the vacancies for candidates qualifying Tier-II (minimum 20/50 marks).
• 🏁 Final merit based on combined Tier-I and Tier-III performance, followed by Character & Antecedent verification and medical examination.
• 🚨 Non-compliance with exam instructions will lead to disqualification.

Important Instructions for IB Security Assistant/Executive Recruitment 2025

• These instructions are for candidates applying for the IB Security Assistant/Executive Recruitment 2025 (4,987 vacancies across various Subsidiary Intelligence Bureaux). Read them carefully before filling the IB Application Form 2025 at mha.gov.in or ncs.gov.in to ensure compliance with the official notification.
• 🕵️‍♂️ The Intelligence Bureau (IB) reserves the right to reject or cancel candidature at any stage without prior notice. All decisions of IB/MHA will be final and binding.
• 📋 The selection process includes Tier-I (Online MCQ Exam), Tier-II (Written Descriptive Exam), and Tier-III (Interview). Final selection is based on combined Tier-I and Tier-III performance, followed by Character & Antecedent verification and medical examination.
• 🚫 Furnishing false information or incomplete application forms will lead to rejection or termination at any point, including after appointment.
• 📅 The age limit is 18–27 years as of 17 August 2025. Relaxations: SC/ST (5 years), OBC (NCL) (3 years), Departmental Candidates (Central Govt. with 3 years service) (up to 40 years), Widows/Divorced Women (UR: 35 years, OBC: 38 years, SC/ST: 40 years), Ex-Servicemen/Sportspersons (as per Govt. instructions).
