Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

  • Lineman (ITI Trade Apprentice): Candidate must have passed the 10th class examination with at least 40% marks from a recognized Board.Candidate must hold a National Trade Certificate in the Lineman trade issued by the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) or State Council for Vocational Training (SCVT).Candidate must have completed the relevant ITI course.Must possess an Aadhaar Card for online registration.
  • Age Limit: As per the Apprenticeship Act 1961 and its amendments from time to time.
  • Note: Candidates with awaited results on the last date of application will not be considered.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

  • There is no written exam and no interview. Selection is purely merit-based:
  • Merit list based on marks percentage: 30% weightage for 10th class marks and 70% weightage for ITI marks in the concerned trade.
  • Preference: 25% seats reserved for candidates with residency certificate of the concerned district where the Grid Sub Station is located.
  • Tie-breaker: In case of equal marks, the older candidate gets preference. If DOB is also same, earlier matriculation pass gets preference.
  • The merit list is valid up to 28.02.2027.
  • Contracts will be registered on the NAPS portal.

  • Original Matriculation (10th) Certificate / Mark Sheet as Proof of Date of Birth
  • ITI Certificate and Marksheets (Issued by NCVT/SCVT)
  • Valid Category / Caste Certificate (if applicable)

  • Aadhaar Card (Mandatory)
  • Two recent passport-size photographs & Valid Photo ID Proof (Aadhaar / Voter ID / PAN)
