Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must possess the prescribed Senior Grade Shorthand and Typewriting qualifications in both Kannada and English.
  • Stenographer Grade-III:General Education: 2nd PUC / 12th Pass or Equivalent.Shorthand: Senior Grade Kannada and English Shorthand Examination.Typewriting: Senior Grade Kannada and English Typewriting Examination.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

  • The selection will be conducted in two stages:
  • Qualifying Shorthand Test: Separate dictation in Kannada and English at 120 WPM for 5 minutes with 45 minutes transcription time. Minimum qualifying marks: 50/100.
  • Interview: 10 Marks for candidates qualifying the shorthand test.
  • Note: No TA/DA will be paid for attending the selection tests.

Required Documents & Instructions for Candidates

  • Original SSLC certificate for proof of date of birth.
  • All Degree and Consolidated Mark Sheets (PUC, Shorthand, Typewriting).
  • Valid Category / Caste Certificate in Central/State Government prescribed format.
  • Recent passport-size photograph (White background, 5cm x 3.6cm, Max 50KB).
  • Signature scan (Black ink, 2.5cm x 7.5cm, Max 25KB).

What is the application fee for the Stenographer post?

  • The fee is Rs. 200 for General Merit, Rs. 100 for Category 2A/2B/3A/3B, and Nil for SC/ST/Category-I, Women, and PwD candidates.

What is the salary structure?

  • The pay scale is Rs. 44,425 to Rs. 83,700 per month plus admissible allowances.
