Physical & Medical Standards (For BRO Posts Only)

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)One Mile Run to be completed within 10 Minutes (Only passing is mandatory). Conducted at GREF Centre, Pune.
Physical StandardsVaries by region (e.g., West Plain Region: Minimum Height 162.5 Cms, Chest 76 Cms unexpanded with 5 Cm expansion, Minimum Weight 50 Kgs). See official PDF for full state-wise breakdown.
Medical StandardsStrict medical examination by Medical Board. Visual acuity not less than 6/12 each eye. Permanent tattoos permitted only on inner face of forearms. No color blindness or knock knees.
  • Candidates opting for vacancies in the Border Roads Organization (BRO) must meet specific physical and medical standards. (Note: Only male candidates are eligible for BRO vacancies).

  • If applying for the first time on the new website, click on "Login or Register" to complete your One-Time Registration (OTR). (Old ssc.nic.in OTRs are not valid).
  • Fill your Basic Details and complete Aadhaar Authentication if opted. Log in using your Registration Number and Password.
  • Navigate to the "Apply" section under "Combined Hindi Translators Examination, 2026".
  • Carefully fill the required details, choose 3 Examination Centres in order of preference, and fill in your Educational Qualification details.
  • Live Photo Capture: You must capture your photograph LIVE using a webcam or the SSC mobile app. Do not wear a cap, mask, or spectacles. Ensure good lighting. Upload your scanned signature (10 to 20 KB).
  • Preview the application carefully. Click "I Agree" on the declaration and submit.
  • Proceed to the payment gateway to pay the fee of ₹100 online (Exempted for Women/SC/ST/PwBD/ESM).
  • Download and print the final application form for future reference.
