Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

  • Inspector: Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Holding analogous posts on regular basis in parent cadre/department OR with 5 years' regular service in Level-6 (Rs. 35,400–1,12,400). Plus 2 years' experience in handling investigation of criminal cases, intelligence work, operations, IT cases, or training in counter-terrorism.
  • Sub-Inspector: Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Holding analogous posts on regular basis in parent cadre/department OR with 6 years' regular service in Pay Level-5 (GP Rs. 2800). Plus 2 years' experience in handling investigation of criminal cases, intelligence work, operations, IT cases, or training in counter-terrorism.
  • Note: Departmental officers in the feeder category in the direct line of promotion and deputationists for promotion are not eligible.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

  • Scrutiny of applications and documents for eligibility and experience.
  • Shortlisting based on service records, experience, and vigilance clearance.
  • Appointment on deputation basis for a period not exceeding three years.
  • No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview/document verification.

  • Self-attested copies of educational certificates, experience certificates, NOC, vigilance clearance, ACRs/APARs (last 5 years), integrity certificate, penalty statement.
  • Two recent passport-size photographs.
  • Send completed application through Speed Post/Registered Post to: DIG (Adm), NIA HQ, Opposite CGO Complex, Lodhi Road, New Delhi - 110003.
  • Ensure application reaches before the last date: 22-11-2026.
  • Keep a photocopy of the submitted application for future reference.
