Post-Wise Vacancy & Pay Scale

• The post is contractual for a duration of 3 years or until project completion, whichever is earlier. Extension is subject to performance review every 6 months. SC/ST/OBC/Women/PwD candidates receive age relaxation as per Government of India rules.

Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

• Essential Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Material Science & Engineering, Production Engineering, or Aeronautical Engineering from a recognized University; OR M.E./M.Tech or equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering and related branches from a recognized University.
• Desirable Qualification: Expertise or strong interest in Design, Manufacturing, Production, Tribology, or Material Science. Hands-on experience in design and simulation, development and testing of composite materials. Throughout First Class in academic career is preferred.
• Age Limit: 35 Years as on the closing date (20 November 2026). Relaxation applicable as per Government of India rules for SC/ST/OBC/Women/PwD candidates.
• Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply. Other terms are as per DRDO-AR&DB guidelines.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

• Application Screening: All applications received by the deadline will be screened for basic eligibility. The Institute reserves the right to restrict the number of candidates called for interview based on screening criteria.
