Block-wise Vacancy Details

• 50% of enrolments are for women, and 5% of the women's share is for divorced/abandoned/widowed women. Numbers may go up or down. Figures are as printed in the official advertisement.

Eligibility

• Rural Home Guard: minimum class 7 pass; permanent resident of the Latehar block you apply for (online residence certificate).
• Urban Home Guard: minimum class 10 (matric) pass; ordinary resident of Latehar's urban area. Technical posts need a recognised technical skill (doctor, engineer, lawyer, nurse, computer operator and similar).
• Apply only once, only for your own block / urban area.

Age Limit

• 19 to 40 years as on 01/01/2026.

Physical Standards & PET

• Height: men 162 cm (General/OBC/BC), 157 cm (SC/ST); women 148 cm (all).
• Chest (men): 79 cm (General/OBC/BC), 76 cm (SC/ST).
• A physical test and marks for qualification, height and other factors are applied as per the advertisement.

Salary

• Home Guards are volunteers. They get the daily duty allowance fixed by the Government only for the days they are deployed. This is not a regular salaried job.
