Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

  • Research Associate (Entomology / Plant Pathology): M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Agricultural Entomology or Plant Pathology from a recognized university. Candidate must possess knowledge of computer operations with MS-CIT certification. Minimum one year of experience as a Research Associate is mandatory.
  • Assistant Research Associate: B.Sc. Agriculture or allied degree from a recognized university. Candidate must possess knowledge of computer operations with MS-CIT certification.
  • Age Limit: Not more than 38 years for both posts. Age relaxation is available for SC, ST, DT, NT, and OBC candidates as per applicable rules.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

  • Candidates must report for a personal interview on 15 October 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Chamber of Head, Department of Entomology, PGI, Dr. PDKV, Akola.
  • Selection will be based on academic merit, relevant experience, and performance in the personal interview.
  • Candidates should critically observe the date and reporting time for the specific post they are appearing for.
  • No TA/DA will be paid to candidates for attending the interview.
  • Canvassing in any form will result in immediate disqualification of the candidature.
  • Candidates must bring all original documents along with one set of attested photocopies during the interview.
  • After appointment, candidates are required to submit a statement accepting terms and conditions on Rs. 100/- bond paper.

Required Documents & Instructions for Candidates

  • Date of birth proof (Matriculation Certificate or equivalent)
  • Educational qualification certificates and mark sheets from SSC / HSC onwards
  • Reprints of research papers published, if any
  • Experience certificate on official letterhead, if applicable
  • No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the current employer, if employed
  • One set of attested photocopies of all documents along with originals
  • Two recent passport-size photographs and valid photo ID proof (Aadhaar / Voter ID / PAN)
  • Key Instructions: These positions are purely temporary and contractual, co-terminus with the project. No accommodation will be provided. The appointment does not entitle the appointee to any claim, implicit or explicit, on any University posts.
