Post-Wise Vacancy & Pay Scale

• The following vacancy is projected and may increase or decrease at the discretion of NTPC management:
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST – 5 years, OBC-NCL – 3 years, PwBD – 10 years, Ex-Servicemen – As per Government of India guidelines.

Educational Qualification

• B.E / B.Tech in Civil / Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation & Control from a recognized and approved university or institution in India (full-time programme only)
• OR Bachelor's Degree in any discipline with a Two-Year Full-Time MBA / PGDM from a recognized and approved Indian university or institution

Selection Process & Screening Clause

• NTPC reserves the right to conduct a multi-stage selection process which may comprise application shortlisting/screening based on qualification, percentage of marks, number of years of required post-qualification experience, and other criteria
• This may be followed by a written/computer-based test and/or a personal interview, or a combination of these stages
• NTPC management may also raise the minimum eligibility standards at its discretion; meeting the minimum eligibility does not guarantee shortlisting or invitation for a test or interview
• The selected candidate must clear the NTPC Medical Board examination before joining; no relaxation in prescribed health standards is permitted
• No TA/DA will be paid to candidates for appearing in any stage of the selection process
• Canvassing in any form shall result in immediate disqualification of the candidate

Required Documents & Instructions for Candidates

• The following documents must be uploaded while applying online. Applications with incomplete or insufficient documents are liable to be rejected:
• Class X Passing Certificate / Marks Sheet as Proof of Date of Birth (Name and DOB must match across all documents)
• PAN Card and Aadhaar Card
• Final / Provisional Degree Certificate in B.E./B.Tech (relevant discipline) or MBA/PGDM along with Graduation certificate, as applicable
• Consolidated Mark Sheet / Transcript / All Semester Mark Sheets showing aggregate percentage; University marks conversion formula if CGPA/CGPI is used
• Valid Caste / Disability Certificate in Central Government prescribed format: OBC-NCL (FY 2026-27), EWS (FY 2026-27 based on FY 2025-26 income), PwBD certificate via Swavalamban/UDID portal
• Experience Documents in chronological order: Experience/Service certificate (NTPC format), Appointment & Confirmation letters, Joining Order, Role Assignment orders, 02 Pay Slips per year and Form-16 for each organization
• Instructions:

3. What is the application fee for NTPC Advt. No. 16/26?

• The application fee is Rs. 500/- (non-refundable) for General, EWS, and OBC-NCL candidates. SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen candidates and all female candidates are exempted from paying any fee.

5. What is the salary for NTPC Specialist (Project Management)?

• The monthly consolidated remuneration is Rs. 5,00,000/-. In addition, the selected candidate receives Company accommodation/HRA, retention benefit, and medical facility for self, spouse, dependent parents, and two dependent children.

6. What qualifications and experience are required?

• Applicants need B.E/B.Tech in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation & Control (full-time) OR a Bachelor's Degree with a two-year MBA/PGDM, along with a minimum of 20 years of post-qualification experience, of which at least 3 years must be in project planning, execution, monitoring, or management. Upper age limit is 57 years as on 20 November 2026.
