Category-wise Vacancy Details

• Horizontal reservation: 10% ex-servicemen, 30% local women, 25% home guards (as per rules), 15% assistant constables and 10% ex-Agniveers. Forms go to the SDOP (Police) offices at Bhairamgarh, Kutru, Farsegarh, Bhopalpatnam or Awapalli, or by registered post to the SP Office, Bijapur, PIN 494444.

Eligibility

• Residence: local resident of Bijapur district only.
• Education: class 10 pass from a school in Chhattisgarh / Madhya Pradesh. ST candidates, and all candidates from Naxal-affected families living in relief camps, can apply with class 5 pass.
• No knock-knee, flat foot, colour blindness or other physical defects.

Age Limit

• 18 to 28 years on 01/01/2026.
• SC / ST / OBC: up to 5 years' relaxation. Local women: up to 10 years. Government employees: as per the advertisement.

Physical Standards & PET

• Height: men 163 cm (UR/SC/OBC), 150 cm (ST); women 153 cm (UR/SC/OBC), 148 cm (ST).
• Chest (men): 79 cm unexpanded / 84 cm expanded (ST 74 / 79 cm), with at least 5 cm expansion. Women are exempt.
• Physical efficiency test (100 marks): long jump, high jump, shot put, 100 m and 800 m race, 20 marks each. Qualifying marks 60 (UR) / 50 (SC/ST/OBC).

Salary

• Pay Matrix Level-4 as approved by the Chhattisgarh Government, plus allowances.

Exam Pattern

• Written test: 50 marks, objective; general knowledge, reasoning, local geography, culture, social values and arithmetic. Up to 15 times the posts are called.
• Interview: 20 marks; up to 3 times the posts are called.
• Bonus (max 30): heavy motor driving licence 5, NCC 'C' or NSS 'C' certificate 5, knowledge of local dialect 20.
