Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

• Professor (3 posts): As per UGC Norms. Departments open: Assamese, English, Zoology. Specialization Open.
• Associate Professor (5 posts): As per UGC Norms. Departments open: Chemistry, Commerce, Computer Science & Engineering, Geography, Zoology. Specialization Open.
• Assistant Professor (8 posts): As per UGC Norms. Departments open: Botany, Computer Science & Engineering, Economics, Education, Mathematics, Mass Communication and Journalism, Political Science, Sociology. Desirable specialization Open in all eight departments.
• Additional conditions:
• Open to Indian Citizens only.
• Reservation policy of the Government of Assam as adopted by the University applies.
• UGC Regulations (additional) issued in continuation of the July 2018 Regulations, if any, will be applicable.
• Separate application and separate fee for each post applied for.
• Candidates who applied for Assistant Professor in Botany vide Advt. Nos. BU/E&A Sec./Advt./T/01/2022/1756 dated 27/06/2022 and BU/E&A Sec./Advt./T/02/2023/2553 dated 15/03/2023 need not apply again; they may submit updated documents.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

• The selection process for Bhattadev University Teaching Recruitment 2026 involves two stages:
• Shortlisting of Applicants: When the number of applicants is large against any one post, the University reserves the right to shortlist candidates for interview. Mere fulfilment of minimum qualification does not entitle an applicant to be invited to the interview.
• Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for personal interview. The date, time, and venue will be communicated separately to eligible candidates.
• No TA/DA will be paid to candidates appearing for the interview. The University reserves the right to change the number and nature of posts or revise/cancel the recruitment without assigning any reason.

Application Fee & Payment Details

• Payment mode: Online payment gateway link available in the Samarth Portal during application. Proof of payment must be enclosed with the hard copy of the application. The fee is non-refundable.

Required Documents & Instructions for Candidates

• Enclose the following with the hard copy of your application:
• Photocopies of the submitted application (2 sets)
• Self-attested supporting documents (2 sets)
• Proof of payment of application fee
• Category certificate (SC/ST(P)/ST(H)/OBC/MOBC/PWD) issued by competent authority as per Government of Assam norms
• NOC from the concerned authority for candidates currently in employment (if not applying through the proper channel)
• Original Matriculation Certificate / Birth Certificate as proof of date of birth
• All degree and consolidated mark sheets for relevant qualifications
• Two recent passport-size photographs and valid photo ID proof
• Hard Copy Submission: Send the hard copy to the Office of the Registrar, Bhattadev University, Bajali, Pathsala-781325, Assam. Superscribe the envelope with "Application for the Post of ______".
• Applications received after the last date will be summarily rejected. No correspondence on postal delay, conduct of interview, or reasons for not being called for interview will be entertained.

• Visit the official Samarth Portal link made available on the Bhattadev University website from 10 November 2026.
• Complete the online application form by 9 December 2026.
• Pay the applicable non-refundable fee through the online payment gateway.
• Download the submitted application and send photocopies (2 sets) with self-attested supporting documents (2 sets) and fee payment proof to the Office of the Registrar, Bhattadev University, Bajali, Pathsala-781325, Assam.
• Hard copy must reach the Registrar's office on or before 16 December 2026.
• Change of address must be communicated to the Registrar quoting the Advertisement No. and post(s) applied for.
