Key Eligibility Conditions

• Only regular full-time qualifications are accepted. Part-time, correspondence, and distance learning courses render candidates ineligible.
• CGPA/OGPA or Letter Grade must be converted to percentage as per the Board/University norms, with the conversion certificate produced at document verification.
• Diploma students admitted via lateral entry (Class XII Science/ITI to 2nd year) are eligible.
• Candidates must apply for only ONE discipline code; multiple applications will lead to summary rejection.
• Candidates holding or pursuing a higher qualification (B.E./B.Tech, MBA, MCA, CA, ICWA, LLB) are not eligible.
• A candidate may undergo a maximum of two apprenticeship trainings in total, with the second in a different trade and at least a 1-year gap.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

• No Written Test. There is no entrance examination for IOCL Apprenticeship recruitment.
• No Interview. Candidates who register and apply on the NATS/NAPS portal against the notified opportunity are considered for shortlisting.
• Merit List Preparation: A separate merit list is prepared for each discipline code based on the percentage of marks secured in the essential prescribed qualification.
• Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates are called for document verification where all original certificates must be produced along with self-attested copies.
• Medical Fitness Test: Shortlisted candidates must undergo a Pre-Engagement Medical Fitness Test as per IOCL's published guidelines. Candidates are advised to review the guidelines at iocl.com/apprenticeships before applying.
• Offer of Engagement: Only candidates whose documents and medical fitness certificate are found in order are issued an Offer of Engagement for the 12-month apprenticeship.
• TA/DA: No TA/DA will be paid for document verification or any other stage of the selection process.
• Unfilled Opportunities: If opportunities remain unfilled after initial shortlisting, they are filled from the remaining panel/merit list for the same opportunity.
• SC/ST/OBC-NCL on UR Seats: Reserved category candidates applying for Unreserved (UR) seats are considered only if they meet the General-category standard.

Documents Required at Document Verification

• 10th Standard / SSLC / Matriculation Certificate or Mark Sheet (sole accepted proof of Date of Birth)
• Regular-Mode and Year-of-Passing Certificate from the Institute/University
• Semester-wise / Year-wise Mark Sheets of ITI (NCVT/SCVT), HSC, Diploma, or Graduation
• Final ITI / HSC / Diploma / Graduation Certificate
• Caste Certificate in the prescribed Government proforma from a competent authority (SC/ST/OBC-NCL, if applicable)
• For OBC-NCL: Caste Certificate not more than 12 months old (after 30.09.2026) explicitly excluding creamy-layer status
• Copy of first page of Aadhaar-Seeded Bank Passbook, Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, and a Cancelled Cheque Leaf
• Pre-Engagement Medical Fitness Certificate
• Disability Certificate per the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Rules, 2017 (PwBD candidates only)
• Two recent passport-size photographs and valid Government-issued Photo ID Proof
• All documents must be furnished in original along with a self-attested copy.

3. Is there any application fee for IOCL Apprenticeship 2026-27?
