Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

  • Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply for the Research Associate position.
  • Educational Qualification: Ph.D. degree OR First class M.Tech. in Applied Mechanics, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of research experience in Computational Fluid Mechanics.
  • Technical Skills: Demonstrated expertise in performing fluid-structure interaction simulations using OpenFOAM. Strong theoretical background in advanced fluid mechanics. Proficiency in C++ coding and High Performance Computing (HPC).
  • Relaxation: A 5% relaxation of marks may be granted to SC/ST candidates as per institutional norms.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

  • Application Submission: Candidates must email the completed Form No. IRD/REC-4 to [email protected] by 16 November 2026, 5.00 PM.
  • Shortlisting: IIT Delhi reserves the right to set higher criteria to short-list candidates among those meeting the advertised qualification and project requirements.
  • Publication of Shortlist: Names of shortlisted candidates will be displayed at ird.iitd.ac.in/shortlisted along with online interview details.
  • Online Interview: Only shortlisted candidates will be informed about the online interview schedule. The selection is based on performance in the interview.
  • No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview or for any travel related to the recruitment process.
