Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

• This post is fillable only by deputation (including short-term contract) from serving officers of the Central Government, State Government, Union Territory Administrations, autonomous bodies, statutory organizations, Public Sector Undertakings, recognised Universities or Institutes. Direct recruitment of fresh candidates is not applicable for this vacancy.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture from a recognized University or institution.
• Registered as an Architect with the Council of Architecture under the Architects Act, 1972 (20 of 1972).
• Minimum five (5) years' experience in the conservation of monuments or historic buildings etc.

Service Eligibility (One of the Following)

• Option (i): Holding the analogous post on a regular basis in the parent cadre or department; OR
• Option (ii): With five (5) years' service rendered after regular appointment to a post in Level-10 of the Pay Matrix (Rs. 56,100 – Rs. 1,77,500) or equivalent, in the parent cadre or department.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

• Screening of Applications: ASI Administration-I Section will scrutinize all applications received through the proper channel along with complete ACRs/APARs and forwarding authority certificates.
• Eligibility Verification: Shortlisting based on prescribed qualifications, experience, cadre, and pay level eligibility.
• Final Selection / Appointment Order: Subject to acceptance by the deputationist's parent cadre and clearance by DoPT guidelines (OM No. 2/12/87-Estt. dated 29.04.1988, as amended).
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending any stage of the selection process. The initial place of posting will be Dharohar Bhawan, ASI Headquarters, New Delhi.
• Officers who forward their nominations will not be allowed to withdraw their nominations subsequently. Applications received after the last date or found incomplete will not be considered.

Required Documents & Instructions for Candidates

• Applications in Duplicate in the prescribed proforma (Annexure-A).
• Complete and up-to-date ACRs / APARs of the officer who can be spared in the event of selection.
• Forwarding authority's verified certificate confirming correctness of particulars, no pending disciplinary action or court case, and no major/minor penalty imposed in the last ten years.
• Degree in Architecture and Council of Architecture registration certificate.
• Experience certificates proving five years of conservation work.
• All applications must be sent to the Deputy Director (Administration), Archaeological Survey of India, Dharohar Bhawan, 24, Tilak Marg, New Delhi – 110001 within 60 days from the date of publication in Employment News.

3. Is there any application fee for this ASI deputation post?

• No. There is no application fee prescribed for this post. This is a deputation-only vacancy and no fee structure has been notified.

5. What is the salary structure for Superintending Archaeological Architect?

• The post carries a pay of Level 11 in the 7th CPC Pay Matrix: Rs. 67,700 – Rs. 2,08,700 per month plus Dearness Allowance and other allowances regulated as per DoPT OM No. 1/99/91-Estt.(Pay-II) dated 05.01.1994, as amended from time to time.
