Category-wise Vacancy (Total: 131)
- Ex-Servicemen horizontal reservation: 13 posts. PwD posts: 0 in this advt (separate drive later). Reserved seats for original residents of Gujarat only.
Eligibility
- Option 1: B.Sc. (Nursing) from a recognised University/institution, recognised by Gujarat Nursing Council / INC.
- Option 2: Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) from a recognised institution.
- Basic computer knowledge as per Gujarat Civil Services Rules, 1967.
- Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi (or both).
- Must obtain Gujarat Nursing Council registration by appointment if not already registered.
Age Limit (as on 12/10/2026)
- All candidates: 18 to 35 years. Relaxation examples: General women +5 (max 40); reserved men +5 (max 40); reserved women +10 (max 45); higher for PwD / Ex-SM as in Advt 458/2026-27.

GSSSB Staff Nurse Fixed then Level-5 – In-Hand Salary
Exam Pattern (200 marks)
- MCQ, 1 mark each; ¼ negative marking. Qualifying: minimum 40% in each paper. Merit on combined marks after clearing both. Paper I: Gujarati or English; Paper II: Gujarati only.
Selection Method
- Single-stage competitive written examination + document verification (~2× vacancies per category). Provisional then final answer key. Widow / eligible sports candidates may get +5% of marks scored subject to certificates.
