• The following vacancy is available under the Viral Research and Diagnostic Laboratory (VRDL) project funded by ICMR at AIIMS Mangalagiri.
• Age Relaxation: Upper age limit may be relaxed for reserved categories as per Government of India rules.

Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

• Research Scientist B (Non-Medical): First class postgraduate degree in Microbiology / Virology / Medical Genetics / Molecular Biology / Biotechnology from a recognized university. OR Second class postgraduate in any of the above disciplines with a PhD degree from a recognized university in the same subject.
• Desirable: Preference will be given to candidates having experience in virology research and knowledge of computer applications.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

• The selection process comprises a written test (conducted only if the number of eligible candidates applied exceeds a threshold) followed by an interview on the same day (26 October 2026).
• Candidates must report for registration between 08:00 AM and 09:00 AM at the Admin Block, AIIMS Mangalagiri. Candidates reporting after the closing time for registration will not be permitted.
• Candidates must come prepared to stay one additional day after the scheduled date in case the schedule overruns, at their own cost.
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

How to Apply

• Download the official notification and CV template (Annexure-I) from the AIIMS Mangalagiri official website.
• Fill out the CV candidate form duly typed in Times New Roman font and paste a passport-size photograph.
• Mail the completed CV (Annexure-I) on or before 18 October 2026, 5:00 PM to the designated email address mentioned in the official notification.
• Attend the walk-in document verification and interview on 26 October 2026 at 9:00 AM at the Admin Block, AIIMS Mangalagiri.
• Carry the hard copy of the application form and all original documents on the day of the interview.

Important Instructions for Candidates

• The post is purely contractual for a period of five years, with renewal of tenure done every 11 months from the date of joining.
• No other allowance or facilities other than the consolidated salary shall be extended.
• Field visits will be required by the selected candidate and no additional remuneration will be paid for the same.
• The selected candidate shall have to perform Sunday, holiday, and exigency duties as per the requirement of the laboratory.
• If the performance of the appointee is not found satisfactory by the investigator, the appointment can be terminated at any time without notice.
• The appointee may be relieved with one-month prior notice; failure to serve notice may result in forfeiting one month's salary.
• Submission of wrong or false information during the selection process shall disqualify the candidature at any stage.
• Any form of canvassing will lead to disqualification.

5. What is the salary for AIIMS Mangalagiri Research Scientist B (Non-Medical)?

• The selected candidate will receive a consolidated monthly remuneration of Rs. 56,000 plus HRA. No other allowances or facilities are extended beyond the consolidated salary.
