Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

• Assistant Professor, Department of History (1 post): A high Second-Class Master's Degree in any branch of History with a minimum of 55% marks in the aggregate or an equivalent Grade from a recognized University Specialized knowledge in the historical and religious literature and culture of Assam NET/SET pass is mandatory Specialization: Open Desirable: Ph.D. or equivalent research degree with records of independent research work, evidenced by publications and project works, shall be preferred No specific prior teaching experience is required beyond NET/SET qualification
• Internal Auditor (1 post): A Bachelor's Degree in Commerce with major in Accountancy Uniformly good academic record throughout Minimum five years of auditing experience in A.G. Office / Director of Local Accounts / reputed C.A. firm / auditing and accounting in any University Working knowledge and practical experience in computerized accounting including Tally (Tally ERP 9 / Tally Prime)
• General Conditions: Open to eligible Indian citizens only Candidates must be medically fit, certified by the Joint Director of Health Services of the district or a Government Medical Officer, before joining Candidates found indulging in canvassing in any form will be disqualified Applications submitted in any form other than the prescribed format will not be accepted

Selection Process & Screening Clause

• Screening: All applications will be scrutinised by a Screening Committee for short-listing. Stringent criteria may be applied during the short-listing process.
• Interview: Only short-listed candidates will be called for an interview before the Selection Committee.
• No TA/DA will be paid to candidates for appearing in the interview or any written/screening test conducted by the University. The University reserves the right to withdraw any post or decide not to fill it at any stage.

Required Documents & Instructions for Candidates

• Three sets of self-attested copies of all testimonials and supporting documents
• Attested copies of mark sheets, educational certificates, and birth certificate (HSLC certificate for age proof)
• Experience certificates on official letterhead (required for Internal Auditor — minimum five years)
• Valid SC/ST/OBC/Category Certificate in prescribed format (if applicable)
• Demand Draft or online payment receipt for the prescribed application fee
• No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the current employer, if the candidate is in service
• Good character certificate from the Head of the Institution last attended or served
• Two recent passport-size photographs and valid Photo ID Proof (Aadhaar / Voter ID / PAN)

• Download the prescribed application form from the Majuli University official website (muoc.ac.in). Applications in any format other than the prescribed form will be rejected.
• Pay the application fee by Demand Draft or online payment in favour of the Registrar, Majuli University, payable at Punjab National Bank, Garamur Branch.
• Attach three sets of self-attested copies of all testimonials and supporting documents along with the Demand Draft or payment receipt.
• Clearly write the name of the post and Advertisement No. (MUC/RG/Recruit-161/2026/2574) on the envelope.
• Send by Speed Post or Registered Post to: The Registrar, Majuli University, Main Campus, Manika Pathar, Garamur, Majuli, Assam – 785104.
