Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

  • For Associate Engineer Gr.I - Inspection Mechanical/Metallurgical: BE/B.Tech/B.Sc. Engineering in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering. Experience: 2 years post-qualification experience in inspection of Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Columns/Towers, Reactors, Pumps, Compressors, etc., as per ASME or API standards.
  • For Associate Engineer Gr.I - Inspection Electrical: BE/B.Tech/B.Sc. Engineering in Electrical Engineering. Experience: 2 years post-qualification experience in inspection of Electrical equipment such as Switch Boards, Motors, Transformers, etc.
  • Age Limit: Maximum 32 years as of 31 August 2026. Age relaxation: SC/ST – 5 years, OBC – 3 years, PwD-General/EWS – 10 years, PwD-OBC(NCL) – 13 years, PwD-SC/ST – 15 years.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

  • The selection process for EIL Associate Engineer Grade-I posts includes:
  • Screening of Applications and Certificates: Applications will be reviewed for eligibility based on qualifications, experience, and age.
  • Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interview. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
  • Note: This is a contractual position; no permanent government job security or pension is applicable.

Required Documents & Instructions for Candidates

  • Original Matriculation (10th) Certificate / Birth Certificate as Proof of Date of Birth.
  • All Degree and Consolidated Mark Sheets for BE/B.Tech/B.Sc. Engineering in the relevant discipline.
  • Experience Certificates on Official Letterhead detailing 2 years post-qualification experience.
  • Valid Category / Caste Certificate in Central Government prescribed format (if applicable).
  • Two recent passport-size photographs & Valid Photo ID Proof (Aadhaar / Voter ID / PAN).
  • Upload documents in prescribed format during online application.
