Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

  • Medical Social Worker: Educational Qualification: Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) from a recognized University / Institution. Experience: Candidates having 1–2 years of experience in a hospital / healthcare setting — particularly in patient counselling, psychosocial support, rehabilitation, or community-based programmes — shall be preferred. Skills: Good communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with patients, attendants, doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Knowledge of computer applications and basic documentation / record-keeping is desirable. Language Requirement: Effective English communication is required. Knowledge of Khasi is mandatory; other local languages are an added advantage.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

  • Shortlisting: Eligible candidates shall be shortlisted based on educational qualifications and relevant experience.
  • Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates may be called for a personal interview / interaction before the duly constituted Selection Committee.
  • Final Decision: The decision of the Selection Committee / competent authority regarding selection shall be final.
  • Note: This is a contractual engagement and not a permanent government appointment. No TA / DA will be paid for attending the interview.

Required Documents & Instructions for Candidates

  • Candidates must enclose self-attested copies of the following documents along with the application:
  • Original Matriculation (10th) Certificate / Birth Certificate as proof of date of birth
  • Self-attested copy of Master's Degree (MSW) certificate and all consolidated mark sheets
  • Experience certificate(s) on official letterhead (if applicable)
  • Valid category / caste certificate in Government prescribed format (if applicable)
  • No Objection Certificate (NOC) from current employer, if employed in any Government or Private organisation
  • Two recent passport-size photographs and valid photo ID proof (Aadhaar / Voter ID / PAN)
  • Applications must be submitted in the prescribed format along with the above enclosures to:
