Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

  • Post: Advisor (Signalling) – Northern Region / Delhi NCR
  • Required Cadre: Officer retired from the Indian Railway Service of Signal Engineers (IRSSE) cadre at Level-14 or above in the CDA Pay matrix (7th CPC).
  • Experience: More than 30 years of working experience in Railway Signalling, including Planning, Design, Maintenance, Construction, Training, Estimate/Tender, along with EPC contract exposure pertaining to Railway Signaling Infrastructure.
  • Educational Qualification: The official notification does not specify a minimum educational qualification.
  • Age Limit: The applicant should not be more than 62 years of age as on the closing date of application.
  • Contract Duration: Initially for a period of one year, extendable based on organisational requirement, performance, and mutual consent, subject to the maximum prescribed age limit, whichever is earlier.
  • Candidates should refer to the official notification for complete eligibility conditions.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

  • Scrutiny of Applications: All applications received will be examined for eligibility and completeness.
  • Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interview. The interview date and venue will be communicated separately.
  • Vigilance Clearance: Vigilance clearance will be obtained from the organisation from which the applicant retired.
  • Medical Examination: Selected candidates will have to undergo a medical examination / health check-up and will be considered for engagement only if found medically fit.
  • Note: No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview or medical examination. An application not accompanied by the P.P.O, the Service Certificate, and the address of the previous employer's Vigilance Department, or any incomplete or vague application, will be rejected summarily.

Required Documents & Instructions for Candidates

  • The application must be neatly typed on A-4 size paper in the format prescribed by RailTel and must be signed. Attach self-attested photocopies of the following enclosures:
  • Pay Pension Order (P.P.O)
  • Service Certificate issued by previous employer at the time of retirement
  • One page write-up of work handled, including significant achievements, if any
  • Address of the Vigilance Department of the previous employer for collecting D&AR and Vigilance Clearance
  • Superscribe the application: "Application for the post of Advisor (Signalling) - Northern Region"
  • Send to: Sr DGM/HR, RailTel Corporation of India Ltd., Plate-A, 6th Floor, Office Block, Tower-2, East Kidwai Nagar, New Delhi – 110023. The application must reach the office by 5 December 2026. Only the receipt date counts.
