Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

  • Young Professional II — Plant Breeding: Master's degree in Plant Breeding and Genetics, Genetics and Plant Breeding, or Seed Science and Technology with a minimum of 60% marks or 6.0/10.0 OGPA. Experience required in laboratory and field work, conducting trials, and mutation breeding.
  • Young Professional II — Agronomy: Master's degree in Agronomy with a minimum of 60% marks or 6.0/10.0 OGPA. Experience required in weed management in field crops, conducting field trials, and herbicide application.
  • Field Assistant: 10+2 (Intermediate) in the Agriculture subject from a recognized education board. Experience in field research and laboratory work.
  • Age Limit: Minimum 21 years, maximum 45 years. Age relaxation is applicable as per ICAR norms and rules of the Government.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

  • The selection will be based on a walk-in interview held on 05 October 2026.
  • A screening test may be conducted before the interview if the number of eligible candidates exceeds the prescribed limit (refer to official notification for exact clause).
  • Candidates will be shortlisted based on their academic record, relevant research experience, and performance in the interview.
  • Final selection is subject to document verification at the venue.
  • No TA/DA will be paid to candidates attending the walk-in interview.
